Description
The Castello Romitorio Filo di Seta is an exceptional Brunello, the result of a rigorous selection of the best hand harvested grapes grown in the vineyards close to the castle. Its name translated, means ‘Silk thread’; and takes its inspiration from a small river that flows next to the vineyards where it is produced. The wine is matured in oak for approximately 30 months and after bottling it is aged in the temperature controlled cellars of Castello Romitorio for a further 12 months before release. This is a wonderful Brunello di Montalcino that seeks to be one of the best expressions of Montalcino’s northwestern microclimate.[#intro]One of the finest Brunello’s from Montalcino’s unique northwestern microclimate…[/intro]
