Description

The Domaine du Pélican Arbois Chardonnay cuvée is made from several different parcels of vineyards located in Arbois and Montigny-les-Arsures. The vineyards sit mostly on hill tops (close to 400m in altitude), over marly soils and the age of the vines is between 10 and 45 years old. Once at the winery the grapes are lightly crushed and then immediately pressed. Fermentation takes place in both barrels and foudres with élevage for a portion of the wine taking place in 350 and 500L barrels (of which 5% are new oak) lasting approximately 10 months. Silky, melt-in-the-mouth yellow fruit with a fine citrus freshness and pin-point precision.
