The Idiom Zinfandel (also known as Primitivo) is an elegant, silky and spicy expression of Stellenbosch Zinfandel. At the winery the carefully selected grapes underwent malo lactic fermentation in tank, on French oak staves, before being matured in a combination of French and American 225l oak barrels for approximately 14 months. The Aromas of candied raspberry and bay leaf dominate the nose of this Zinfandel. An effortless entry leads to an explosive revolving tray of sage, tobacco leaf and cranberry flavours combining gracefully on the palate.
