Description

The Maison Jospeh Drouhin Rully Blanc is 100% Chardonnay sourced from the communes of Rully and Chagny. Located at the entrance to the Côte d’Or, a few kilometres south of Santenay, the Rully appellation is part of the Mercury Region. Grapes for this wine are hand-harvested on some parcels owned by the Drouhin Family as well as from fruit supplied from Drouhin’s preferred growers. Fermentation and ageing takes place in oak. Maturation lasts for up to 14 months in French oak barrels (10-15% new). The aromas are fresh and fruity, with nuances of broom shrub, almond and delicious preserved citrus notes. On the palate, it is fresh and elegant. A long and delicious aftertaste makes for a lasting impression.
