The Ataraxia ‘Earthborn’ Pinot Noir is made from grapes produced from the oldest organic vineyard on Ataraxia. It represents the ongoing journey of conversion to organic principles that started 8 years ago and forms part of the continuing quest to discover the very soul of Ataraxia’s terroir.  Sustainable vineyard practices and thoughtful, minimal winemaking techniques are part of the quest to accurately and authentically express the very soul of a terroir ideally suited to Pinot Noir. The wine has an intriguing luminous hue that reflects rather than absorbs light. A compellingly seductive bouquet while on the palate the wine is sensual and embracing, with a captivating mid-palate depth, lovely transparency and excellent focus on a suavely tannic finish.
