Matured for 18 months in oak barrels and a further 6 months refinement in bottle before release, the Il Marroneto Rosso di Montalcino Ignaccio is a young, fresh and accessible “Baby Brunello”. To the nose, it radiates a plummy, intensely flavoured profile, coupled with hints of spice and dried herbs. The palate offers luscious ripe cherry and raspberry notes, mingled with an attractive undertone of earthiness and a firm tannic grip. The finish is notably lengthened by its sharp acidity.
