Fruit for the Kumeu River Estate Chardonnay is drawn from six different vineyard sites in the Kumeu Region. Only the very best, hand-harvested, grapes from these vineyards are selected for the Kumeu River Estate label. At the winery the grapes are whole-bunch pressed, fermentation is 100% barrel and 100% malo-lactic with 11 months maturation in barrel. The Kumeu River Estate Chardonnay is particularly ripe, peachy and not only delicious to drink, but also has the concentration and lingering complexity that you can expect from this wine.
