MEZAN is a limited collection of rums that are unsweetened, uncoloured, unchill filtered and matured in casks until they reach their optimum maturity. MEZAN represents the purest and most authentic style of the Caribbean’s rums. This 11 year old rum was produced at the Diamond Distillery in Guyana. Distilled in modern French Savalle four column stills, this Demerara rum matures in ex-bourbon casks in two stages: first with a tropical ageing in Guyana for 3 years and then with continental ageing in Europe for 8 years before being bottled by the MEZAN team. It has an elegant nose with delicate oak spice, some soft apricot and white fruits, capsicum notes, a little honeyed vanilla.
