The Mezan Jamaica 2010 Vintage is a 12 Year Old rum distilled at the Monymusk Distillery in Jamaica. Distilled in column stills, this Demerara rum matures in ex bourbon casks in two stages: first with a tropical ageing in Jamaica for 3 years and then with continental ageing in Europe for 9 years before being bottled by the MEZAN team. Light spice and typical Jamaican notes on the nose with a hint of overripe banana. The powerful palate has a good balance of oak and lighter tropical fruit. A touch of green banana, black pepper and light salty notes on the finish. MEZAN represents the purest and most authentic style of the Caribbean’s rums.
