Description

The Tournon Shay’s Flat Vineyard Shiraz takes its name from a locale in the Australian Pyrenees (Shay’s Flat), an east facing ridge in the southern foothills. It appears as a natural amphitheater with red soils of schist, quartz and rich clay. The organically farmed vineyard features ten hectares of shiraz in two parcels. Harvested at night the grapes are de-stemmed and fermented in vat with a long maceration. Aged in French oak for 12 months, the resulting wine has a dark red colour with a complex nose of black fruits and tobacco leaf.
